My hobbies are so important to me. How would I survive without my running, horses, walking up mountains, reading, and holidays? It’s my down time, providing brain space and relaxation away from the stress of work. I have found that I have to factor it in to my diary, as it is just as important as my work, because without a healthy functioning body and brain, I cannot work at my full capacity.
How interesting would it be to do a survey on how many people have down time? and what is the impact on performance? Is there such a survey out there?
Think about it. What is your down time, your space, your relaxation? Does it help you to function better?
